What is Dream Catcher?
Dream Catcher is Evolution Gaming’s original money wheel live game show, launched in 2017. Players bet on numbers on a large vertical wheel, and the wheel spins to determine the payout. It’s the simplest of the Evolution game show lineup.
How the wheel is structured
The Dream Catcher wheel has 54 segments with numbers 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, and 40, plus two multiplier segments (2x and 7x). Number segments pay their face value (a £10 bet on 5 returns £50). Multiplier segments don’t pay directly — instead the wheel is respun and the resulting win is multiplied by 2x or 7x.
House edge
The house edge varies by which number you bet on. The best-value bet is the number 1 (lowest payout but most segments), which has a house edge around 2.8%. Higher numbers have fewer segments and higher house edges — betting on 40 carries an edge around 35%. Most experienced players stick to the lower-numbered segments and treat multiplier respins as a bonus rather than targeting high-number bets.
