What is a gamble feature in slots?
The gamble feature is an optional mechanic offered after a base game win that lets you risk that win for a chance to multiply it. A common format is a coin flip or card suit guess where a correct result doubles your win, and an incorrect result loses it entirely.
How it typically works
After any winning spin, a gamble button appears. Clicking it takes you to a side game, often a choice between red or black (a card flip), high or low (a card value comparison), or a wheel spin. A correct prediction doubles your win. Most gamble features allow multiple rounds — you can keep doubling until you decide to collect or lose.
The risk profile
Each individual gamble round is a 50/50 chance (in honest implementations). The feature doesn’t improve your expected value — your win is neutral EV each time. However, the gamble feature adds variance by giving you the option to convert small wins into larger ones at equal risk. Setting a limit on when to use it (never gambling more than X amount, or stopping after one successful double) is a sensible approach.
